Mackenzie Ruroede

Meet Attorney Mackenzie C. Ruroede

After growing up in the Upstate, Mackenzie Ruroede attended Clemson University, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Sociology. After earning her undergraduate degree, she earned her Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Mackenzie served as a co-executive editor of the University of Miami Business Law Review. While in law school, Mackenzie received a CALI Award, was a member of the Honor Council, competed in the 2014 Gaubatz Moot Court Competition, and was a part of the Miami Law Innocence Clinic. During her summers, Mackenzie interned at Disability Independence Group, a non-profit law firm that represented persons with disabilities, and other civil litigation law firms in the Miami-area.

Mackenzie is licensed to practice law in both Florida and South Carolina. After graduating from law school, she returned to the Upstate. She has been practicing law since 2016, with her primary focus being family law since 2018. Mackenzie is passionate about advocating for her clients in all family court matters. She has attended numerous Continuing Legal Education courses specifically related to family law and advanced family law topics.

In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog, Ellie, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers.
