When searching for a divorce attorney, I received two very strong independent recommendations for Ruth Cate. The first was from a senior therapist in a reputable counseling practice who said “Ruth is the only attorney in town that you want to have”. The other referral was from an attorney in one of the preeminent family law practices in Charlotte who described Ruth as “a tough opponent”. Indeed, the outcome in my highly unusual case exceeded my expectations. I hired Ruth Cate as my attorney at the recommendation of a friend who said she was the best in the business. While she has been my only attorney, I can honestly say that she did an awesome job for me. I was scared but knew I had to file for divorce to get child support for my kids. Ruth took immediate action and although we had to go to court to do it, I was able to get child support pretty quickly. The divorce was not easy, but she was there for me the entire way. She always responded to my emails quickly and never hesitated to meet with me if I wanted it. I was very pleased with the outcome and I do believe it was a result of her hard work. The cost of the divorce was hard for me, but Ruth was willing to work with me and was extremely supportive and understanding of my situation.
